After searching many times for the notebook to record the most recent oil change and other service work on their family farm's equipment, it became an exercise in frustration with more than one person handling maintenance and multiple locations where equipment was serviced. These factors made it nearly impossible to keep a coordinated diary of the work, and when modern equipment service can cost several hundred dollars, it becomes expensive quickly if redundant work is performed. Chris Westergard, a 4th generation Montana farmer, decided there had to be a more reliable and convenient way to keep track of maintenance and service work that was performed on the farm. Tractor Tracker is the mobile app created by On The Go Farm, LLC, which was founded by Chris for the purpose of building the app and bringing it to other farmers and ranchers through their mobile devices. The app was developed by Myriad Mobile, a mobile software development firm headquartered in Fargo, North Dakota.
